Had to even up the number of reviews here to ten and keep the 5-Star train a rollin' - what a great read! The flow of information throughout every chapter is not to be taken for granted, I'm struck by the amount of work that went into this book. Highly entertaining and never dull considering the load of history and trivia presented herein. Very well written, indeed. A must-own for any Cubs fan!
Gave this as a gift for Christmas and family member loved it! I had trouble stopping looking through it and wrap it up for him!

This book is awesome as I have many many fond memories of the Cubs having worked at the Don Kessinger Sports Camp and met Also Randy Hundley this would be great for Cub Fans Young and Old.
I never realized Cub players didn't wear numbers until 1932, which is a among the trivia tidbits. The book seems to have them all with the greats -- Ernie Banks is the ninth and presumably last Cubbie to wear #14 -- and the forgettables - Ernie Broglio anyone? This takes the reader on a pleasant guided tour through the eras.....
